Living up to our brand promise of empowering our customers to lead Healthier, Longer, Better lives, we understand that besides keeping up with our physical and financial health by getting active and being adequately insured, it’s also about uncovering the issues that impact our health. Across Asia, we have identified three key threats connected to modern life that affect our health and quality of life. They are sleep deprivation, air quality degradation, mental illness and depression. The first issue we looked into is Asia’s attitude towards sleep.
There is a myth that we sacrifice sleep in order to meet the opportunities of modern life. But in reality, sleep does not get in the way of progress. In fact, it enables it.
In Singapore, 55% of the respondents surveyed said that they get just six or fewer hours of sleep each night and over half of them worry about not getting enough sleep or want to get more. 59% agree that getting one more hour of sleep would boost their mood and energy.
Therefore, let’s redefine the role of sleep in our lives. Find out how sleep can have a positive transformational effect on our health and our quality of lives. Our call to action is a simple one. One that should be simple enough to integrate into one’s routine, but impactful enough to create a tangible change.
Let’s get #OneMoreHour of sleep for a healthier, longer, better life.
