Google has recently announced that the current Fitbit data platform will no longer be in use by end September and will be replaced by Google Health going forward.
As Fitbit is a supported device for AIA Vitality, we will be migrating our systems to Google Health. During this period, Fitbit connectivity with AIA Vitality will be temporarily unavailable.
In addition, the sale of new Fitbit devices via the AIA+ app will be paused from September.
What does this mean to you:
- If you are using a Fitbit device, please ensure that all activities tracked, i.e. steps, heart rate, speed and sleep, are synced to AIA Vitality on/before 30 September 2026.
- From 1 October 2026, consider linking other supported devices to AIA Vitality, which are Apple, Garmin, Polar and Samsung.
- Alternatively, you may use the Health app (for Apple users) or Samsung Health app (for Android users) to track steps so that you remain on track for your Weekly Fitness Challenge.
We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience as we work through the migration.
