Sze Keed has more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry in Singapore and has held a broad range of senior management roles during her career.

Mr Alvin Fu is the Chief Corporate Solutions Officer overseeing AIA Singapore’s Corporate Solutions business which provides comprehensive employee benefits programmes for companies and organisations across Singapore. He is responsible for driving sustainable growth strategies and implementing business critical initiatives to strengthen AIA Singapore’s leadership position in the industry. This includes adding new capabilities for AIA Singapore through innovative business development initiatives.

Ms Melita Teo is the Chief Customer and Digital Officer of AIA Singapore. Drawing on a wealth of industry experience, she is responsible for strengthening the Customer, Brand, Health and Wellness propositions, advancing the enterprise-wide Analytics capabilities and usage, and accelerating the delivery of an integrated Digital experience across Customers and Distribution. She leads the division to identify strategic areas of growth for the business and service excellence to customers through an unwavering focus on customer experience and outcomes, and integrated digitalisation transformation of business and services.

Ms Irma Hadikusuma is the Chief Product Proposition Officer of AIA Singapore. She leads the product proposition team by providing strategic direction to drive the innovation, development, pricing and management of a compelling, customer-centric, and synergetic proposition portfolio for all of AIA’s distribution channels.

Mr Gunawan Chiu Wu Pin is the Chief Technology Officer of AIA Singapore. He is responsible for driving and developing digital initiatives to increase overall efficiencies and productivity of the company to meet the evolving needs of the customers. A veteran in the insurance industry, Gunawan has extensive experience in developing and implementing IT programmes for major insurance companies at a regional scale.

Mr Tan Kian Loy is the Chief Operations Officer of AIA Singapore. Drawing on his extensive experience in the industry, Kian Loy is driving the use of digital tools and expanding AIA Singapore’s customer-centric service proposition. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing operations, including customer service, policy services, underwriting and claims departments.

Mr Khoo Kay Hwee is the Chief Risk Officer, overseeing both the risk and compliance functions for AIA Singapore. He is responsible for strengthening and embedding the enterprise risk management framework, as well as implementation of the compliance framework and programmes for the company. He is a qualified actuary and has extensive experience in the life insurance industry, in both the private and public sectors.
Chief Investment Officer
Ms Liu Chunyen is the Chief Investment Officer responsible for spearheading the success of the company’s investment strategies. This includes developing and enhancing AIA Singapore’s Strategic Asset Allocation, Asset Liability Management, and product development processes. A veteran in the life insurance Industry, she will also drive AIA Singapore’s continued strong investment performance and elevate its service standards through close collaborations with AIA Investment Management Private Limited (AIAIM), the Singapore-based asset management company responsible for dealings, regionally as well as specialist fund management efforts exclusive for AIA Group businesses.

Ms Aileen Tan is Chief Human Resources Officer of AIA Singapore. She drives the development and execution of AIA Singapore’s HR strategy to support the company’s business growth, focusing on talent and leadership development, succession planning, as well as organisational and performance management. A firm believer in human capital development, Aileen supports her people to achieve their full potential by challenging them to go beyond their comfort zones as they continually upgrade their skills and capabilities, just as AIA Singapore strives to help Singaporeans Be Life Confident.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Ms Penny Koo is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of AIA Singapore. As part of the AIA Singapore management team, Penny supports the company’s continued business growth and transformational strategies with her legal expertise and strong track record, delivering success across the Group. She is responsible for all legal and corporate secretarial matters and leads her team in providing strategic legal advice and commercial-minded, practical legal solutions for AIA Singapore and its subsidiaries.
Mr Tan Hak Leh is the Chairman of the AIA Singapore Board and Regional Chief Executive of the AIA Group, responsible for the Group’s businesses operating in Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Prior to his appointment as Regional Chief Executive, he was the Chief Executive Officer of AIA’s operation in Thailand. Hak Leh has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry encompassing a broad range of leadership roles. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of AIA’s operation in Thailand, Hak Leh was Group Chief Risk Officer and before that he was Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore and Brunei.

Sze Keed has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in Singapore and has held a broad range of senior management roles during her career. Prior to being appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Sze Keed was the Chief Distribution Officer of the Company where she was responsible for the overall direction of sales and distribution across all tied channels – tied Agency and tied Financial Advisory platforms.
Mr Mitchell New is the AIA Group General Counsel. He is responsible for providing leadership to legal and corporate governance functions within Group Office and the country operations. He also has executive responsibility for the AIA Group’s ESG Programme, including acting as Chairman of the Group’s ESG Committee. Prior to joining the AIA Group, he was the Senior Vice-President & Chief Legal Officer (Asia) of Manulife Financial. In his over 14-year career with Manulife, he held a number of senior positions with Manulife’s Asia and Canadian Divisions, including as Senior Vice-President & Chief Legal Officer (Canadian Division).

Ms Jayne Plunkett is the AIA Group Chief Risk Officer responsible for the Group’s risk and compliance functions. Prior to joining the AIA Group, Jayne was with Swiss Re, where she was most recently Chief Executive Officer, Reinsurance Asia, Regional President Asia and member of the Group Executive Committee.
During her time with Swiss Re, she had held several senior positions including Head of Casualty Underwriting for Asia and Division Head Casualty Reinsurance. Prior to that, she was with GE Insurance Solutions.

Mr Henry Ho is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. He started his career with Citigroup and was with the group for 20 years in various capacities including Country Risk Officer at Citibank Malaysia, Chief Executive Officer at Citibank Thailand and General Manager at Saudi American Bank based in Riyadh. He had a brief tenure with Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd as Managing Director of Special Assets in the Investment unit. Henry was also the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of PT Bank International Indonesia (January 2004 – March 2009) and subsequently, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia (March 2010 – February 2015).
Mr Ong Sim Ho is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Sim Ho is a lawyer with more than 19 years of private practice experience specialising in the areas of tax and trust law. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant in Singapore, an Accredited Tax Advisor with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals and a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Prior to being in private practice, he was a legal counsel with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. Sim Ho was an Independent Director of Prudential Assurance Singapore Limited from July 2006 to July 2007, and he subsequently joined the boards of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd and Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Ltd, and was appointed non-executive chairman of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd from 2009 until mid-2016.
Mrs Mildred Tan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. She is currently the Chairman of Tote Board and Singapore University of Social Sciences Board of Trustees. She was the former Managing Director of Ernst & Young Advisory Pte Ltd and has over 30 years of experience in business management and advisory. Mildred was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2008 and awarded the Public Service Medal in 2007 and the Public Service Star in 2014. She was a Nominated Member of Parliament from 2009 to 2011. Active in community work, she also serves in various community organisations.
The primary duties of the Audit Committee are to oversee the internal and external audit processes, review the financial information, the financial reporting system and internal control procedures of the Company, its subsidiaries and branch, as well as related party transactions.
The BRC has the responsibility to assist the Board in determining the Risk Appetite (including the Risk Appetite Statement), Risk Principles and Risk Tolerances, and to ensure that the Company, its subsidiaries and branch establish and maintain an appropriate and effective Risk Management framework, and that sufficient resources are in place for risk management activities.
The BRC is responsible for the review and monitoring of any changes to risk policies, any material breaches and exposures, significant transactions, as well as the results of any future-looking analysis, such as stress and scenario testing. The BRC is further responsible for establishing and embedding a strong risk culture across the Company, its subsidiaries and branch.
