As part of our Centennial celebrations in 2019, we set up the AIA Centennial Fund that is dedicated to supporting education and children in need from Children’s Wishing Well. There were year-long fundraising initiatives that called on the support from business partners, customers as well as staff and sales representatives. This include fundraising from AIA Charity Run via the AIA Glow Festival, #FitForGood pop up workouts with FitnessFest by AIA, donations from AIA Vitality members via the weekly challenge rewards as well as the annual AIA Charity Golf.
The funds raised are used in the three key areas:
- SUPPORTING 100 FAMILIES IN NEED
The Fund will support 100 families from Children’s Wishing Well who have varied needs ranging from education funds for the children to groceries for the family. AIA will also work with Children’s Wishing Well to grant a wish for each of the 100 families on their pressing needs which may be relieving them of financial stress, or simply getting a new furniture for the home. Whatever the wish may be, our focus is to help the families and children live Healthier, Longer, Better lives.
- SUPPORTING EDUCATION
Education continues to be an important focus at AIA and Children’s Wishing Well as we believe that it is the key to help children break the poverty cycle and progress later in life when they enter the society. Therefore part of the AIA Centennial Fund will be allocated to support the children in their enrichment programmes to help them keep up with their school work, as well as awarding those who have excel in their studies with the AIA-CWW Achievement Awards.
- SUPPORTING DREAMS
We understand that different children may have different aspirations on what they want to do in real life. Be it an artist, a dancer or a performer, as long as they have the flair and the will to excel, AIA and Children’s Wishing Well will make it happen. That’s why, the AIA Centennial Fund will also go to supporting aspiring young children from Children’s Wishing Well, who have demonstrated the potential, by helping to enrol them in the relevant institutions to further their aspirations and realise their dreams.
