GETTING STARTED  
Am I eligible to apply for AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige?
You can apply for AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige if you are 75 years of age or below on your next birthday.
Can I buy AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige for other members of my family?
Yes. You can buy AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige for your parents, spouse and children. For more information, please talk to your AIA Financial Services Consultant or call us at 6248 8228.
 
 
     
 
 
     
PREMIUMS  
How much are my premiums for AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige?
The premium for AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige is based on your age next birthday. Please click here to see the Premiums table.
How can I pay my premium?
You can pay your premium using CPF Medisave, up to S$800 a year for every person covered. If your premium exceeds S$800 a year, you will have to pay the rest of your premium by cash.
When do I pay my renewal premiums?
You can pay your renewal premiums once a year. Your renewal premiums will be deducted automatically from your CPF Medisave account on your premium due date.

This deduction is subject to a limit of S$800 a year for every person covered. If your premium exceeds S$800 a year, or if you do not have sufficient funds in your CPF Medisave account, the rest of your premium must be paid using cash within two months of the premium due date. If we do not receive the rest of your premium within two months of the due date, your cover will stop.
Will my premium change when I renew my policy?
Your premium will change as you move in to the next age group. (The premiums for each age group are shown in the Premiums table here.)

However, the premiums are not guaranteed and are expected to be adjusted from time to time in line with our claim experience, medical inflation and general cost of treatment, supplies or medical services in Singapore.
 
     
 
 
     
COVER  
When does my cover start?
Your cover will start from the first day of the following month after we have approved your completed and signed application forms, and when we have received the appropriate premium.
What is not covered by AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige?
There are several categories that are not covered by AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige:
Pre-existing conditions, which means any illness or condition that occurred before the date your policy began or the date your policy was last reinstated;
Hospitalisation or surgery for the treatment of congenital abnormalities;
Medical treatment or hospitalisation in a country other than Singapore (except in an emergency); and
Other additional exclusions that apply to specific benefits of this plan.

What is a Government or Restructured Hospital?
A Government or Restructured Hospital is a hospital or medical institution that is officially registered with the Singapore government. This includes:
Alexandra Hospital;
Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital;
Bright Vision Hospital;
Changi General Hospital;
Communicable Diseases Centre;
Institute of Mental Health/Woodbridge Hospital;
KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital;
National Cancer Centre Singapore;
National Dental Centre;
National Heart Centre Singapore;
National Neuroscience Institute;
National Skin Centre;
National University Hospital;
Saint Andrew’s Hospital;
Saint Luke’s Hospital;
Singapore Gamma Knife Pte Ltd;
Singapore General Hospital;
Singapore National Eye Centre; and

CLAIMS  
When am I eligible to make a claim under AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige? You are eligible to make a claim if, as a result of an illness or an accident, you stay in hospital or undergo out-patient treatment. You are also eligible if you are diagnosed with cancer. How do I make a claim?
You need to complete the claim documents, which you can obtain from your AIA Financial Services Consultant or by calling us at 6248 8228.
What other documentation do I need to provide with my claim?
In addition to the claim documents, you also need to provide us with the original, itemised bills and receipts, as well as a full physician’s report.
Is there a limit to the amount of cover that I can claim?
Yes. For the Extra Cancer Benefit, you can claim up to S$50,000 each year and up to S$150,000 for the duration of the policy. For all other benefits, you can claim up to S$400,000 each year and up to S$10 million for the duration of the policy.
What are deductible and co-insurance?
Deductible and co-insurance are the portions of your claims that are not covered by this plan (as a requirement of the Ministry of Health in Singapore). However, claims made under the Out-Patient Hospital Benefit are not subject to deductibles.
 
     
 
 
     
CANCELLATION  
Can AIA cancel my plan?
No. Your AIA HealthShield Gold Prestige policy is guaranteed to be renewed every year.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes. You may cancel your plan by writing to us. Your policy will be cancelled within 30 days of the date we receive your written notification.
