AIA Around The World Plus (II) shelters you from costly medical and hospitalisation bills should you fall sick or become injured when you're on the move. There are 3 plans to choose from, allowing you to find one that best suits your needs. What's more, all 3 plans cover COVID-19 with benefits such as medical and evacuation expenses, quarantine, travel cancellation and automatic extension of coverage due to COVID-19, so you can take flight knowing that we've got you covered.

Sometimes a smooth trip can turn bumpy. It’s comforting to know you’ll be compensated in a range of scenarios, including travel delay, flight diversion and loss of baggage, money and travel documents. Protection starts even before you leave, with a trip cancellation benefit protecting you against paying for a holiday that didn’t happen.
POST-TRIP MEDICAL EXPENSES IN SINGAPORE

We provide the coverage you need even after you return home. If you fell sick or became injured while overseas and require follow-up treatment in Singapore, we will continue to reimburse your local medical expenses for up to 45 days.

DETAILED TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ELIGIBILITY OF COVER

Each trip must commence from Singapore and ends in Singapore (except one way trip)
Policy must be effected before departure

Plan type

Single trip plan

Family cover refers to a maximum 2 adults who need not be related and any number of legal children of either one of the adults. The children must be accompanied by either one of the adults during the trip.
Covers up to 182 days per trip

Annual multiple trip

Family cover refers to a maximum 2 adults who are legally married to each other and any number of legal children of either one of the adults. The children must be accompanied by either one of the adults during the trip.
Covers up to 90 days per trip

Note:
Children refers to unmarried persons of up to 19 years old; or up to 24 years old if they are enrolled full-time in a recognised institution of learning or higher learning during the coverage period.

GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE

ASEAN: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Asia: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Macau, Mongolia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Timor-Leste and includes ASEAN.
Worldwide: Any countries outside Singapore.

EXCLUSIONS

Things that you won't be able to claim from this policy

There are certain conditions, such as pre-existing conditions and participation in extreme sports, for which no benefits will be payable. Please refer to the policy contract for the full list of exclusions, including COVID-19 related.

DEFERMENT PERIOD

The payout for the permanent disability under the Accidental Death, Accidental Dismemberment and Burns benefit will begin 6 months after the disability was first suffered.

All insurance applications are subject to AIA’s underwriting and acceptance. This is not a contract of insurance. The precise terms and conditions of this plan, including exclusions whereby the benefits under your policy may not be paid out, are specified in the policy contract. You are advised to read the policy contract.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
