Events

Having been in Singapore for the past 80 over years, AIA Singapore has served generations of customers, helping them to meet their protection and savings needs. As a key insurance provider in Singapore, AIA keeps its focus on ‘protection’ and is committed to helping customers be adequately insured across various life stages. Hence AIA actively participates in events that help educate Singaporeans on the need for protection and the additional peace of mind that the right amount of insurance protection and appropriate savings plans can give.

Besides focusing on the protection needs, AIA Singapore also places priority on the needs of the community at large by leading staff and agents in community events to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate.

Here are some highlights of the events that AIA Singapore organized and sponsored in 2011, with more to come in 2012.

AIA Healthy Living Amazing Race – 29 October 2011

Close to 80 teams of staff and agents participated in a round-the-island amazing race, travelling on foot, buses and trains to various AIA buildings to collect healthy food items for the 80 needy old folks at the Lions Befrienders centre. Teams had to complete health-related challenges such as matching vitamins to the fruits and a ‘shuttle-walk’ in exchange for the items which they then creatively packaged into a hamper and presented it to the elderly.

This event was organized in celebration of AIA’s 80 years of successful operations in Singapore. It is also an extension of AIA Singapore’s commitment to encourage ‘healthy living’ among staff and agents. AIA staff and agents also came together to raise more than S$10,000 for Lions Befrienders.

Invest Fair 2011 – 13-14 August 2011

For the second year running, AIA Singapore participated in the annual Invest Fair as a Platinum Sponsor, which was held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. AIA Financial Services Consultants took the opportunity to raise customers’ awareness on AIA’s diverse range of protection solutions and also assisted them to ‘future-proof’ their wealth.

Jurong Lake Run – 10 July 2011

More than 400 staff, agents and customers joined over 6,000 runners at the western part of Singapore to take part in the inaugural Jurong Lake Run 2011 which AIA was a Presenting Sponsor.

Themed as one of the first mega running events in the western region of Singapore, Jurong Lake Run 2011 was a great success which saw a great turnout of runners from various age groups taking part in the 10KM competitive run and 5KM non-competitive run.

As a Presenting Sponsor, this is yet another opportunity by AIA Singapore to actively promote ‘healthy living’ among staff, agents and customers.
