Personal Accident Insurance

Are there optional PA benefits which policyholder can add to his/her PA plan?

Yes, the policyholder can choose other useful benefits like:

  • Loss of time/temporary disability benefit
When an injury prevents the insured from going to work for a period of time, PA plans can provide a weekly or daily cash benefit.

  • Hospital benefit
With this, the insured is paid a daily amount of cash for each day of being hospitalised for treatment of an injury or illness. The extra cash can be used by the insured to upgrade his/her hospital ward or a ward of a better class.

  • Emergency evacuation benefit
This is a useful benefit for those who love travelling and adventure. Should the insured's life be critically threatened by accident or illness, the insured can be evacuated to the nearest hospital. Such evacuations, usually from remote locations, involve specialised personnel and equipment, and can cost anything from $30,000.
